The Mark of Slovenzna acts as the doorway to the west and east for the Vlanaesses. As a nation, it has many different important groups–both human and demi-human who contribute their own gifts to the nation. The humans there are a thorough mixture of the Slobolakoi and Falkunish ethnic groups, while the Elves tend to dominate the large Bramblewood Forest and the Dwarves the hills and mountains that surround the country.
In the past, the Slovenznoi citizenry extracted a pretty penny from the tolls they charged merchants passing through their territory, but the opening up of the trade routes through Vuksha and Luetkan north as well as river traffic out of Falkunland to Nyr Dyr has forced the Slovenznoi trading guilds to lower such tarriffs lest they entirely lose out on the traffic.
Like Falkunland, Slovenzna’s greatest threats have been in the north from the hill giants, Wyverns, and other monsters that swoop down into the plains to plunder the settlements. Recently, there have also been fantastic reports of new discoveries of huge Underdark cities and reports of Mind Flayer forces making attacks on trading groups coming down from Falkunland. At first, these were not believed, but the reports have become more numerous as of late.
