Quick Post–FINALLY A PHILOSPHER WHO MAKES SENSE!

Seriously, this 5 minute interview with A. C. Grayling was the first thing in the NYTimes’ modern philosophy column that has even begun to make any sort of sense to me.

Interestingly enough, it doesn’t try to make an overarching argument, but rather just tries to put forth a few pragmatic guidelines and ideas–and they are ones that really get to the core of what I think a meaningful life is about.  It is not about perfect ideas, ideals, or grand unifying visions–but rather is something that one works towards–that one acquires over time–and that one creates for oneself..

I like it.
