Change it up…

… because I otherwise don’t often have enough time for a real post all the time–I’m going to try to get ideas up on here at least once a day–and then also time for real posts…
Today’s idea: Using Data Furnaces to heat homes.

Instead of storing all these servers in large centralized locations that need tons of air conditioning, you’d parcel them out into homes and you the waste heat from them to heat the homes.  Now–the article seems to have some odd ideas–such as the fact that these firms would seemingly get free server processing while selling these things to people who then also pay for the electricity–but that’s also something that could be worked out through market mechanisms.

A cool idea for the future in any case–one of the ways to increase our efficiencies for the future.
